Re: Q111
Just curious if it was solid TOFC or if containers were mixed in?

Re: Q111
All containers. No TOFC. Outside of UPS and some trucking companies, nobody really does TOFC anymore. Most everything's containers.alittlevanwerty wrote:Just curious if it was solid TOFC or if containers were mixed in?
Re: Q111
Should all be containers for Q022 to take on east out of Columbus. Zero or very few for Columbus itself at this train runs just to avoid NWOC.

Re: Q111
I cannot think of any train on the NS Chicago Line or the CSX Cheetah (Snail) lane that is entirely trailers. A couple are pretty close but they all have some containers on them.
Re: Q111
So park manor, aka 63rd street, loads containers now? Used to be all they loaded was tofc. That's how you could tell if a train was to/from there, no containers.MagnumForce wrote:I cannot think of any train on the NS Chicago Line or the CSX Cheetah (Snail) lane that is entirely trailers. Re: Q111
I suspect some of the middle of the night once a week ones I never see may have some?
Some of the real hot NS trains like 21Z have COFC mixed in to otherwise complete trailer consists.

That was the closest I have seen in years but several containers on spine cars in the consist. Not on chassis either.

Re: Q111
They didn't have the equipment to load containers. All Park Manor loaded was trailers. Prior to 59th St opening Csx ran Park Manor after split. That was one of the ways of telling what train you were meeting. No containers whatsoever, good chance it loaded there.MagnumForce wrote:Not even COFC?

Re: Q111
I don't know, if it is the once a week middle of the night stuff it could be.
Re: Q111
I guess I should have specified. COFC being wells, double stacks, etc. Park Manor's loaders couldn't load wells. We'd be arguing semantics if a is a container on a spine car with a chassis would be considered COFC of TOFC at that point.

We've already argued that enough.CSX_CO wrote:I guess I should have specified. COFC being wells, double stacks, etc. Park Manor's loaders couldn't load wells. We'd be arguing semantics if a is a container on a spine car with a chassis would be considered COFC of TOFC at that point.

Re: Q111
I was talking no chassis stuff, can they load those there on a spine car? I suspect no.
What trains would those be?
