I know why! The MQT 2040 is sitting at interchange with the GRE! The 24 is in the barn blue flagged, and there is a trailer with something large on it...traction motor? At any rate looks like the 2040 is the new GRE power for at least a little while!

The 2040 is the old 2004, BTW

1216 is headed to north yard with a cut from Nugent. Yesterday I ran into them headed to henry street yard light power to switch out the cut for today before going back to the barn for the evening. Everything is back to normal in north yard for the most part, all conflicting Maintenance is finished which has MS back on their normal schedule.

Wet leaves didnt treat 2019 well on Henry street hill. 6 loads for Webb and 2 buffer cars and the 1216 bringing up the rear was just a little too much for the lone GP38.they made it to laketon before having to back down and try again.

Blue flag still on the engine house lead at the GRE. 24 spent the day outside with it's rear truck out from under it. Big Gelock crane there most of the day. 2040 tied up outside the yard office on the interchange track.

Yesterday (10/29) GLC left Cadillac towards Clare at 1120 with 2 grain hoppers, 5 plastics hoppers, 2 tank cars, 1 plastics hopper, 4 tank cars, 2 plastics hoppers and 3 tank cars.

First corn I have seen shipped out. There are still a few cars spotted at the MAC facility. Assuming they went to Petoskey Wednesday with the amount of hoppers pulled out of town. Nice to see a blue tank car in the mix.

They returned around 1700, but I didn't get to see them.

Sounds like Grand Elk might be working in Wayland right now. I'm a couple miles north of town and I've heard a few horn blows. When I crossed the tracks, I thought I saw something so I grabbed the zoom lens and saw what appears to be a number of tank cars. Didn't see any power though.
