Re: Where am I?
Anybody remember where and which crossing this nasty crash took place? Driver was suicidal and drove right into the side of the train and was killed on impact. My dad actually grew up with this guy, and my grandma/great grandma's house is right next to these tracks. One of them HEARD the impact. Watched trains here as a kid for, but from the opposite side where this mangled truck came to rest. Hints are available, but you shouldn't need one if you know where to look.
Didn't see you posted somthing first Michael...

No problem PM1223 I guess we posted within a minute of each other and they went to separate pages.
Re: Where am I?
PM1223 still has an active one open but I will post another as well.
Bragging rights to the one who gets this especially since these silos have not seen rail traffic in over 30 years.
Although at one time 3 separate rail lines crossed this very spot!

Re: Where am I?
I never cease to be amazed at the wealth of railroad knowledge on this board!
You have full bragging rights Norm and all the privileges that comes with that which last time I checked, that and $5 will get you you a cup off coffee at Starbucks.
If you are interested there is a little bit more information on the website Pixl posted

The silo wasn't built till 1970 on the site of the former MC Depot and it's service was short lived as Conrail abandoned the line just 10 years later.

Re: Where am I?
The back-story is I found the place totally by accident. I used to drive M-60 and thought I'd tour the town. Depot St led me to believe there may be something rail related there. Yep, there was. Strange, the things one remembers several years later.
