Impressive, Paul!! Homewood at the Metro station. I went there (they have a rail park next to the station) the week before last on the way back from Milwaukee and saw 12 trains in the 2 hours I was there (9 CN, 2 Metra, 1 Amtrak).

Also saw the CN shops and office, training "yard" where about 12 people in class were training on live loco and cars, along with their CN varnish.

4604 Central Street, Wyandotte. Just about where Central Street runs into Pennsylvania Road.

Why is everyone relying on Google's Streetview? It's almost too easy to find the exact same view on the Streetview platform.

Here's one you won't find on Streetview.

Now GLRF will not b e allowed to guess  .

I should not be excluded cause I don't know where all these locations are. You'll notice I have to ask for clues on most of them.

The key is not using locations in your own backyard, unless you have a photo Google doesn't. Or an angle that their view doesn't show. So a shot from a crossing Google didn't cross might make it harder to guess, especially if the location is kind of obscure to start with. Unless all of your shots are in an area where others grew up watching trains.

I'm pretty sure I have taken a picture of a train at this crossing.

Not much to go on if you don't know the area. I can see that we are looking for a active line, regularly used. From the shadows probably looking East. And we have a fire station nearby. How about the general area of the state, shouldn't give away too much.

West of Lansing, south of Muskegon. That should break it down a ways.

I'm no good at road crossings unless there's a known landmark or structure. I would have to ask a 100 questions to narrow this down :(

Well judging by what he has given us its either CSX or MQT. Doesn't look to be GRE they have hardly any gated crossings in rural areas like the picture. But I do think that more is needed before an ID can be made. There is nothing really out of the ordinary in thr picture to help ID it without more hints.

I'll try to upload a bigger pic tonight...guess the image isn't large enough to see all of the details.

And NO WAY this is GRE, Max.

Seems like I went through this crossing while on the way back from Milwaukee when I went off the beaten path on the way home. I stopped in Grand Junction for a snack. Could it be there, on County Road 338 (I think that is the road I was on from the west- I-196) into Grand Junction)?
