I'd have taken the west end of the siding at Emmett, but it's nice to see someone other than cnw8835 get it.GTW6401 wrote:I believe its Keegan Road near Emmett.Bumping this up, figuring Jon probably has the answer by now...

Re: Where am I?
It's not that easy. Flying around with Google is an interesting challenge. Unless you have been there, how would find a signal box with graffiti in a fairly plain photo. At least with Google Earth. Streetview, and RRHX Maps everyone can play no matter where you live.GreatLakesRailfan wrote:Why is everyone relying on Google's Streetview? It's almost too easy to find the exact same view on the Streetview platform.

Re: Where am I?
Point taken. I used to play a variation on this on another site, where someone would post a screenshot from Google Earth and the goal was to be the first person to figure out where the screenshot was from. As long as they didn't venture outside the Lower 48 it was a lot of fun...Pixl wrote:It's not that easy. Flying around with Google is an interesting challenge. Posting something from within 10 miles of your home helps me narrow it down. Like posting something from Emmett if you live in Port Huron.

Good job Connor! I've been to Marshall once and don't recall that section of track although I knew there was an older unused track around there somewhere. Marshall was going to be my next guess.Michael wrote:You were on the right track AARR but Connor got there first.

Re: Where am I?
Michael,
You threw me off with that one. You said it was not a short line, so I'm looking all over at the NS line and I see well maintained regularly used tracks, yet your photo showed rusty weed grown rails. After coming back a second time I finaly found your ice cream store on a old siding.
