Yep! Looking north on the D&M. I think this is the place that gets fertilizer still, by transload from Alpena.AARR wrote: Posen?

Re: Where am I?
You may be right but another possibility is the stuff transloaded in Alpena is for the blasting powder place just west of Rogers City Jct in LaRouque (railroad name Hawks...or maybe it's the other way around). The blasting powder place is called Austin Powders. They were one of the last three customers left when the line was abandoned. They averaged one or two cars a month.MQT3001 wrote:Yep! Dam, I checked all around up there. Alpena, Rogers City, Cheboygan. But I thought there is nothing in Posen but potatos and drunks. Nice find AARR.

Most of this was accidentally ripped out by a city contractor, leaving about 2 blocks of rail...

Brush Street under the old Conrail Industrial lead. The bridge was repainted last summer. When was that branch removed?

OK, here is what I worked with this afternoon.Clay320 wrote:

Nice neighborhood, well maintained lawns.
Street is not a main thrufare, need repair.
Compass shows SW camera angle, road and rails probably North/South.
I looked all over your back yard, Port Huron.
Nothing else to go by.
