Re: Where am I?
I know and appreciate that most of the spots have been in Michigan. But with the current interurban thing I'd like to throw out a line I grew up with and rode as a kid. This is outside Michigan, but not too far. Built in 1920, has been in continuous service (except for a major rehab) and still runs today. Can you name the line and maybe the station?

Yes. Very good work TC.TC Man wrote:Lynnfield Road station (Shaker Heights) on the Blue Line.
It was called the "Shaker Rapid" for years, then taken over by the Regeonal Transportation Authority (RTA). They rebuilt the entire system in 1980 with new ballast, concrete ties, rails, poles, and wire. They also put all new cars in service.
They demolished and replaced most of the stations with very nice modern structures. Lynnfield was saved and rehabed as it reflects the culture of the area.
Here is a recent photo of the rebuilt line at the same station.

Re: Where am I?
It seems that interurbans are the current choice here, so I'll throw in another one. Like TC Man's pic, this is not in Michigan, but it is not too far away. First constructed in the 1920's, it was converted into a rapid transit subway line in 1964 and still runs as that today. The supports you see once held overhead wires until it was converted to third-rail power in 2004.

Well I see rails, so maybe still in service, although I do see two posts on the right side of the bridge, not sure what they are for.. But what else if you don't live there can you go on? Maybe N,S,E,W lower Michigan?

Oh yea, that helps. Other than Escanaba are there any bridges like that in the UP? Already obvious it was in the LP.MQT3001 wrote: Class I mainline, lower peninsula.

It was called the "Skokie Swift" for years until the CTA switched to color names in 1993.

I think that is Atlas Oil in Taylor. They used to get ethanol and their spur was filled with tank cars. But since ethanol plants were built in MI they get everything in by truck now.Michael wrote:
