Re: Where am I?
Me guessing this spur did not see much service by the condition its in. What a waste.

Correct. Caught my eye while looking for something else. About 2 miles of railroad in good condition that goes to no one.~Z~ wrote:Close MQT, not quite. First is Patterson Ave near West Side Beer in Kentwood, and 2nd photo is Broadmoor Ave about 300 feet west of the first photo, spur to Steelcase.

Ithaca. West Center Street over the GLC. Lot of people were on that overpass during Trainfest last summer.Michael wrote:

Not Ithaca. Ithaca only has one bridge. Here you can see a second one out there.GreatLakesRailfan wrote:Ithaca. West Center Street over the GLC. Lot of people were on that overpass during Trainfest last summer.

Good job Pixl. There are other bridges in AA but that one seemed like the toughest to guess.

Re: Where am I?
Earlier today I noticed about three bridges in AA that looked the same, but I passed over this one. Looked in other cities but no other bridges with this signature. Finally a second look at AA and there it was!Michael wrote:Good job Pixl. There are other bridges in AA but that one seemed like the toughest to guess.

Re: Where am I?
The Google Streetview car even managed to catch a train going by on this bridge.
The colors the area is painted could be a clue.

This goes under Conrail's River Rouge yard, C.P. "YD" on the Detroit line and "Coolidge" on the CN's Shoreline sub.

Re: Where am I?
I want to say Gaines just based on that fence.
11am edit: checked out street view map, and yuppers, that was Gaines. Took a photo on the north side of that depot once of a northbound.

Re: Where am I?
Another railroad under the water. If you look closely you can see the remains of a trestle below the surface crossing this lake. Someone may recognize it as this railroad has been discussed elsewhere on this board, but if necessary I'll throw out a few hints.
