Back to the Bricks

Unread post by wagnew0923 »

When I took the 1225 up to Cadillac I noticed a few things along the line. At the Mt. Pleasent Commerce Center which I do not think accepts rail anymore, there were several old passanger cars stored there. What is there story and who owns them?

Does the lumber yard Biewers Saw Mill accept inbound, out bound, or both.

I saw a siding in McBaine does it accept rail still?

I also saqw at Renosol Seating an old TSBY switcher sitting on a siding. It looked rough but operational. What is the story with this?

I can't be certain but the passenger cars in Mt. Pleasant may be from the now defunct Lake Central Railtours "Mountain Town Dinner Train".

NW2 #1977 was sent up there last year. Not sure why. It has sat in Cadillac and in Owosso out of service for some time. Hasn't run in quite a few years, IIRC.

1977 supposedly was being used by the customer in Farwell as a leased unit I was told. A Mr. Frye owns the cars in Mt. Pleasant. The Mc Bain siding I saw had pole cars on it when we went by. Not sure if that is the one you saw?

Don't believe Mr Fry owns the 2 CN cars in Mt Pleasant. Some gentleman in Canada bought them and since hasn't been able to set up delivery.
