OK, I'll take 3 pounds of lard, one sack of sugar, and three sacks of flour.
Can you send it by rail?

Yes. But the train won't stop. Your goods will be tossed from the moving train at the location in your photo above.

It is GLC.
There is information in the photo to look for. One you got already is the rusty rails.
Using Google Earth look for the deep cut.
Move the photo into a program that you can zoom in. There is a revealing building in the distance.

And while we wait for someone to figure that out, I went golfing with my brother-in-law and his daughter for Fathers day. Can you tell where I was at with this railroad related photo?

It looks like one of the 2 miniature golf places in Traverse City. Either Pebble Brook or Pirate's Cove.

Where be it? Yes, those are some railcars on the spur in the distance so it's active...obviously not active where it used to cross the road :)

An Operation Lifesaver caboose sat at the end of that spur for a long time.

GRHC - you know every night I can imagine he is in front of his computer screen sitting in his underwear swearing profusely and drinking Blatz beer combing the RailRoadFan website for grammatical errors.

Yes, it is a old railroad tie at Pirates Cove, complete with rust stain from the plate and square spike holes.
