While this is not Michigan it is of interest to my fellow railfan types. Great ride and if you have never done it you very much should...

Hopefully he doesn't rip this one up to try and pay off his debt.

He won't be able to, CN will still own the tracks and operate freights.

Re: Algoma Central Soo/Hearst Funding
CN I would assume is also running the summer and fall tourist train? He only gets the Soo to Hearst local by what I read in the article. 7 days a week on an all stops local keeping out of CN trains way. The crews will have a long day. Has the F unit left Lansing to work this run. Just kidding but the business plan would be neat to see on how he proposes to keep the Provincial go verment happy for their money.

CN keeps all freight (for now). Rail Mark gets all passenger service.

Here is a story about their big plans:
Railmark gets certified, will restore Snow Train: http://www.sootoday.com/content/news/de ... sp?c=89140
I'm a little hesitant this is going to turn out well, considering they sold the Star Clipper Diner train and are having financial trouble with the Columbia Star Dinner train (formerly Grand Transverse Dinner train), which they also own.

Three months later, Star Dinner Train operator still owes the city over $12,000

Imagine that... Another failed Railmark venture. As much as I am for people following their dreams how many times does one fail before they give up and realize maybe just maybe this ain't the business for them?
Rule #1: BerkshireKid is God. Rule #2: God is always right. Rule #3: If you think you may actually be right refer to Rules #1 & #2.

That quickly? I guess I shouldn't have been surprised.
