NS owns the diamond, and since the Wabash was there before the PM. But I believe its logical to have the line with the most trains, take the smooth side, because its all about maintenances. So NS with there 40 trains a day will take the smooth side. Now if u got rid of all CP trains, then CSX would probably get the smooth side, because of maintenance.

There is 25 to 30 NS trains a day there on the NS, and 10 to 15 CP? Can anyone give out train symbols for them? CSX has 15 regular, and between 4 to 8 extra any given day. So all told with CSX and NS there would be about 55 to 60 trains a day. That seams high.

actully I dont think NS sees all 40 of the trains in each 24 hour period, considering some dont run on weekends, or certain days, extras, and if the mixed trains are short enough, they combine them. I'd say maybe at best 12 NS trains a day and another 10 CPs MAYBE. I sit here all day and listen and i've never heard more than 15 a day. The the same with any RR.

NS train symbols that I know of:
Mixed 121 171 181 197 120 122 190 196
Roadrailer 252 253 260 263
Intermodel 28V
NS has no solid autoracks on this line (that i know of)( the mixed trains 171 121 181 , 120 and 122 are mostly autorack, but with a few box cars added make is a mixed train.)
Local are L63 and L64 although, these symbols could be changing in the near future.

i see there are two 29T's as well, how did this come about? Did NS run out of CP symbols or do they run a certain direction and come back as the same train symbol?

Doesn't sound like it. If NS is supposed to do it I bet CSX won't let them. Wich doesn't surprise me.

I keep forgetting to post this. Looks as the new diamonds have been in for about three weeks, or so. They are just standard diamonds no fly over type. Alot easer rideing now to, if they would just fix the track before and after.
