The Ann Arbor is doing some more MOW work at textile road. At least replacing the rubber mats for the crossing and possibably doing some drainage work.
Also still plenty of ties at Pittsfield junction.
Any more AA MOW updates can go in this thread

It's about time that they redid that crossing - the west rail was defective and had been so for quite some time. A train would bounce up and down every time it went over the section.

Textile Road is done and it is a huge improvement. Also looked like they did Morgan Road just north of Pittsfield Junction.

Nice Pictures! Port Huron could use a grade crossing replacement on 16th street near the CN St. Clair River tunnel to Canada. Every time you drive over it, it sounds like the spikes are loose and shaking and the wood dips down way in between the rails.
Re: Ann Arbor Railroad MOW thread
Ties have been distributed on the Pittsfield branch. They look to go all the way up and down the branch, at least from Morgan Road to past where the 84 Lumber spur was. They actually put ties down east of the crossing where I was standing too. Ties were marked, should have ties replaced before too long.

Ties are in on the Pittsfield branch, looked like a maintainer was working north of puss field junction near Ellsworth. Also a maintainer working near main in Milan, and work is being done on the connector between the AA and NS at Milan. The AA just left its interchange on the main because B70 can't get to it currently.

You ain't kidding! I drive down there every day in my semi truck. You have to come to a complete stop or else it'll bounce you right out of the seat! Every few years they redo that crossing, but it doesn't last long. Just like Wadhams Road to the west.Amtrakguy365 wrote:Nice Pictures! Fresh ballast down south of Michigan Ave towards saline, and some brand new cross bucks have been put up at a couple crossings at Pittsfield junction. There also has recently been random tie work and other ballast work.
