Why does the bridge look so fresh from the freeway? Was it painted for cosmetic reasons or was it all painted and the tracks lifted shortly after?

Chessie Cat bridge over Patterson if still pretty fresh. It was last painted in 1987/88 when installed.

Within 10 miles of Plymouth. Dirt road crossing. Correction, I guess they are called gravel roads.

Mill St. near Northville. There is no Streetview available at the crossing, but you can see the cell tower just around the corner on Northville Rd.
