That's it.

IIRC the Mohawk was a Detroit-Chicago train on GTW. I'll have to give some thought to what location this is :?

That looks like Schoolcraft. I am looking at a photo taken from almost the same location, but I think at a later date, as I write this. The wagon is gone and the lightning rods on the gable ends are gone. The ground signal is still there.

According to the caption under my photo, the tower in the background controlled the crossing of the GTW and the LS&MS railroads.

Schoolcraft it is. I don't know when the tower was removed but there was an operator there in the depot at least into the late 60's.

Well if you don't want me to see the blue sign you should erase it using Windows "Paint" or other. Many of the RR use the same blue emergency sign so it's no much of a clue and is too blurry to read. NS uses a black sign with a gold location area that helped me identify a previous "where am I"

So it's the CR/NS line with CN in the background. I'd like to get the city first then try for the street. Ok? Is it in Wyandotte?

Reverse Where am I?

Unread post by James Sofonia »

We often use Google Street View to find a location. This is a little different . I was captured by Google Street View last Sept. See if you can find me. Downtown Traverse City Mi. on E. Front St. between Cass and Park streets.

Is that you in the purple shirt in front of Orvis? I had a hard time with the street maps switching being the 2015 imagery and the 2009 street views.
