That is correct. I recognize it from a nearby location I recently did.

What industry was here that recently moved and still ships by rail?

Bloomingdale, Michigan historic Depot Museum, the only original depot left on the Kal Haven Trail between South Haven and Kalamazoo. The museum features displays and artifacts of the oil, rail, lumber and local heritage of the Bloomingdale area.
This one threw me off for a while as at first I thought the tower was a fire lookout. I finally figured out it is a oil derrick, so with some searching thru Google I found it. Interesting location.

Technically it's not a move, it's a location closing. Lewis St. location has been open for years.

This kind of looks like Mt. Clemens Sub near 9 or 10 Mile Rd. in Warren.

I don't know why but for some reason this to me looks like somewhere on the PH&D but I'm not sure where.

Re: Where am I?
Edit - As usual M.D. is correct
M.D. - Did you mean "Marsh" instead of "Mars"? I'm wondering if there is a track I haven't heard of

Both guesses are correct. GTW 4909 leading 524 back to Port Huron at Stephens Rd in Warren. Kind of looks like Wyandotte.

The view from both direction. The bridge is an Interstate highway. This is available on Google Street view.

Yes it is. Those green fields are deceiving though and deep. It was one of the better ($$$) jobs that I use to have to protect, good people too.cfriedri wrote:Is it the old spur to the Ford Plant in Monroe?Michael wrote:

Re: Where am I?
Ok Michael, you fooled me with this one. How do you get a streetview shot out in the middle of a bog with no cross road?

Re: Where am I?
The photo was not taken from the usual Google Street View car. It was user submitted. I don't know if you can see those when you are using Google Earth but when you go to the Google Maps website, you can see see indoor and outdoor panoramic photos that user submit. They show up as blue dots just as the roads show up as blue line.Pixl wrote:Ok Michael, you fooled me with this one. How do you get a streetview shot out in the middle of a bog with no cross road?
Re: Where am I?
How old is that spur that it needed a tell tale?
