Quaker used to get 13 cars a month. Doesn't look like they get that many any more if any.

Yes it is Quaker Chemicals on the Highland Park branch. Which is the last/farthest customer on the line. Serviced by Conrail's LV-4 as needed. Things have slowed down on this stretch of railroad the last year :-( .

13 cars a month ???? I remember a full switch ( with set backs and/or respots ) twice a week for months at a time. we would keep the extra cars at Fullerton yard until needed. Ah the old days, full crew, caboose and customers .

Yes! You know you still climb for a dime! That is the tower added after the move.

An article I read earlier today, but can't find now, said the depot was at Moran till they closed that station. Beinging bigger and better station than St. Ignace, the railroad moved the station there. Years later someone bought the building and moved it again a few miles to todays location.

That's the NYC museum in Elkhart. I grabbed the wrong link, here's the original.

Michael I like your posting. Notice that almost every seat on the interurban has a rider. Compare that with our present public transportation that usually is hauling sail boat fuel around.

Nice detective work Pixl. I knew that historical marker would help. I did airbruush out the company logo on the streetcar though.

How about this one?
