Afternoon stop at Amsterdam Central train station. Fascinating passenger system. Many trains to many European destinations. German ICE to Train Grand Vitesse to Paris...what a Setup!
All electric. All excellent. Sorry, no pics. Left Amsterdam to Utrecht. Canal parallels a passenger main of 4 tracks. A train every 7 minutes. This is how it's done.
Looking forward to Cologne, Germany tomorrow.

Get pics of those old ICM sets while you can. I got lucky last month and got a buuch
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.

I was in the Netherlands in the summer of 2006 (what? 10 years ago???) with my family. While chasing trains wasn't on the agenda, it IS how you get from one city to the next in this country. I recall seeing only one freight train...everything else was passenger. A few photos from that trip below. As I recall, the Spoorweg Museum was very interesting, and may have been in Utrecht. Enjoy your travels Dok!
