Regarding the 220 car D705 on Thursday that never materialized because they left 56 cars behind, having only 164 cars by Howell, the 56 cars left behind was a 56 car stone load. These, and 54 other freight cars, for a total of 110, went by Howell at 23:25 last night, as a day in advance D70508, with CSX 5482+710 on the head end. All stone and sand trains system wide, per E.H.H. orders are now picked up by local's and taken to main terminals and then tacked onto road trains for delivery (Have to keep those train starts down you know) A big discussion occurred on what to do with D70508 occurred after it went by me when they got to Lansing. Somebody was switching the yard, and D906 was still dead somewhere around Lansing still with no crew available. With no discussion on either train today. Assume yesterdays D706 is still dead there at the noon hour on Saturday, and evidently, so is D70508.

I've been tracking Standard Lumber's in-bounds for almost 2 years. I was skeptical when the GR-Toledo trains went away. But I was pleasantly surprised that the Toledo to Plymouth to Lansing to GR seemed to work fairly well.

The last car which arrived at the GRE last night via D705/906/297, departed Toledo 25 hours earlier.

24 axles, 468 feet at 131.3 DD.
