Re: Where Is It?
Looks a lot like Lake Pontchartrain near New Orleans LA. Headed northeast as Amtrak #20 Crescent to New York?

Re: Where Is It?
Ha! The old Louisville and Nashville bridge across Lake Pontchartrain. Rode across it many times in boxcars and passenger cars back in the 60s, enroute home on leave and back, to Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi! Good times! I'll never forget riding across that bridge on a hot, sultry August night under a full moon, behind four F units!

Yes, indeed that's Holly looking southeast from the S. Broad Street crossing along the CN Holly Sub toward the diamond crossing with the CSX main line that run between Flint and Toledo, and onto toward Pontiac and Detroit, all in the Holly Area school district, Oakland County. It's have a Holly, MI 48442 mailing address. The two guys, working on the crossing gate at the right in the first shot above, are the CN signal maintainers.AARR wrote:I knew this was Holly the moment I saw the sign on the station~Z~ wrote:Righto, thought the depot would help.Pixl wrote:Holly Michigan.
