I've never known parking enforcement to give warnings. When did that start?

During QLine tests over the past few months, there has been a big issue with many people parking on the tracks. I'm assuming that to try to offset this problem when it goes into regular service they're issuing the warning.hoborich wrote:I've never known parking enforcement to give warnings. After watching Parking Wars on A&E in Detroit and what parking enforcement has to go thru to get people to just figure out WHAT A NO PARKING SIGN MEANS...this should get veryyyy interesting.

The article is from December 2016, during the test phase of the line.
There was an incident on 12.26.17 when a vehicle and maybe multiple were parked in the street parking space in front of the DIA but due to the snow they were not parked close enough to the curb. The NB Q Line Car stopped because there was not enough clearance and would have scraped the car. The car and maybe multiple were towed and had the line blocked for a few hours.
The best advice is if you do use street parking on Woodward, make sure there is enough space so the Q Line wont scrape or knock your mirror off. If there is not already, there should be a line painted that indicates do not park over this line as one may assume if they are not over the rails that they are safe.

It could be worse. Cincinnati's street car will be shut down for a few days.
