Re: Hunter Harrison on leave
Interesting news. Most know of his ill health, so I wonder what happened. I wonder if it will have a profound impact on the stock and stock prices come tomorrow. I am expecting them to at least drop somewhat, and it'll be interesting to see if EHH comes back at some point, or leaves Mr. Foote in charge, as well as what this means for CSX as a whole.CN_Okemos wrote:CSX announced just after 10ET tonight that Hunter Harrison is on medical leave.

It appears to be more than just simple profit taking, as someone else posted a couple weeks ago. Put another way. CSX stock is down over 13% in the last couple weeks. Perhaps, the proverbial honeymoon is over for EHH.

Interesting that every time Hobo delcares the end is near, the stock is trading higher than the last time he said it was on the downturn. I guess if you say something enough, you might get it right once.hoborich wrote:CSX is slowly giving back it's recent gains. Dow was up 165 points today. CSX was down $1.22 a share

Big Changes at CSX?
EHH has died at age 73, per a release from the railroad. The questions remain about what this will do to railroad operations and to shareholder view of the companies stock.

Kind of a "Rail Barron" if you will. I think EHH was trying to break the mold of
"its always been done this way" kind of thinking. I hope the railroad succeeds. RIP EHH.

You are correct on
It's likely a blind squirrel will still know which nuts to hoard, because blindness doesn't affect your sense of sniffing.
