It depends... without me getting out a map, is this along the DCON or the greenway?DaveO wrote:The Capital of South Australia is Adelaide. Adelaide being the name of the street on top of that pretty concrete. What are the odds the concrete still looks like that?

It's along the greenway, about a 1/2 mile south of the end of DCON.ns8401 wrote:It depends... without me getting out a map, is this along the DCON or the greenway?DaveO wrote:The Capital of South Australia is Adelaide. One would hope that it would be looking a bit better but one shouldn’t hold ones breath...DaveO wrote:It's along the greenway, about a 1/2 mile south of the end of DCON.ns8401 wrote:It depends... without me getting out a map, is this along the DCON or the greenway?DaveO wrote:The Capital of South Australia is Adelaide. Yes, it's the Pere Marquette Trail, former C&O Railway Ludington Sub, looking west toward Reed City and Ludington, in Evart. Osceola County. Final run of the last passenger train service between Saginaw and Ludington. with stop in Evart, was the mixed train nos. 1 and 4, was made on November 30, 1949. That shot above is looking west from the 95th Avenue crossing.

That's up north, isn't it? The bridge is for the now-GLC to cross some road (US31?). I think I've seen some KC pictures of trains on this bridge in the past.Michael wrote:

Yup, that's the former C&O Railway Petoskey branch over US-31, looking northwest toward Lake Michigan and southwest toward Charlevoix. In Haynes Township, Charlevoix County. The final run of the remaining passenger train on the C&O Railway between Traverse City and Petoskey, was on September 1, 1962.

Here's a potentially easy one. Looked around the topic a little to gauge people's tracking skills; they're pretty good.

Nevermind. I can see the station name next to the locomotive...

Yes, that's the new Amtrak Station on the south side of Michigan Avenue (US-12), west of Southfield Freeway, in Dearborn, Wayne County. The shot is looking south with Greenfield Village in the background across the NS Michigan Line/Amtrak Line tracks. It was opened in December, 2014. That's Amtrak train no. 351 or 353 heading to Chicago.GreatLakesRailfan wrote:Is that the "new" station in Dearborn?J3rsdm5 wrote:Here's a potentially easy one. Re: Where Is It?
Well I haven't found it yet but I'll share the one clue I was working on. Those palm trees around the building in the background are unusual in Michigan. Maybe someone in the area can walk right up to this one.J3rsdm5 wrote: For real this time:
EDIT: Looks like daveO beat me to the palm tree clue.
Re: Where Is It?
I'm going to guess the Los Angeles/Long Beach area near the port.
