Re: Michigan Short Line Updates - March 2018
It seems like the elevators in Marlette and Brown City still do quite a bit of carload grain business (less than 15 car blocks) even though they are both equipped to load unit trains.

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.

CHS is warming up their engine in Charlotte. They must have a run of some sort today. 1525

Re: Michigan Short Line Updates - March 2018
Today around noon, what I would say is most of Huron & Eastern’s roster was at Wenona yard in Bay City: 3391, 3390, 2029, 2028, 3044, 3045, 3868, 3484, 3485 and all 3 GP40-2Ws were present. That only leaves the other 3 RA painted GP38-2s, 2107 and 2026 unaccounted for (one of which was parked at Towerline Rd east of Saginaw).

Does the MMRR typically park a locomotive in St. Louis?

No, normally it’s in the engine house in Alma. Maybe they died there today?NS3322 wrote:Does the MMRR typically park a locomotive in St. Louis?

Sorry for the misreport, I was looking at old Google satellite imagery and spotted a locomotive south of Bear Truss on the spur.SD80MAC wrote:No, normally it’s in the engine house in Alma. Maybe they died there today?NS3322 wrote:Does the MMRR typically park a locomotive in St. Louis?
Interesting to know they still use the engine house in Alma.
