New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
The IHB DOB for Monday mentions signal testing at Hohman and State Line starting at 0700.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
Well we had a 7 550 921 019 0202 show up this morning at around 730am and squawk for a bit.
64 bits

Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
Now we have a 40 bit 7 550 921 017 0202 squawking away.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
The two new addresses have been MIA since midday yesterday. On the IHB and CSX aide, nothing has really changed, but occasionally you can see most bits on at the same time, so some testing must be happening.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
Something has been going on
NS side track circuits have been shunted a lot.
Both machines have been off at time for 15 minute intervals.

Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
I did notice that the NS approach blocks have been lit up almost continously. Hohman had five different brief test periods.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
017 and 019 are back on.
They are sending useful data too.
Since these are relays, they have to wait on the railroad that owns the main interlockers to hook up the NS "relay" machines,

Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
Thanks for the update. I will check my logs tonight.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
All NS trains are being talked by signals. But from the gap they left, I was able to guess what they were at Hohman.tttodisp wrote:Thanks for the update. I will check my logs tonight.
Looking at State Line now.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
The thing I can not figure is that none of the CSX/IHB machines have gone offline with all these changes.
Everywhere else CSX makes updates, the machines disappear off the CSX airwaves, and appear on the NS airwaves.
Except here. I wonder if the IHB isn't crazy about the verizon links.

Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
You may be right about the IHB issue. Republic is still on the air as is the IHB view of Calumet Tower. Dolton stayed online as well. Since they are dispatched out of the same office, I am not sure how/why IHB is handling this differently (but I am not complaining).
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
Speaking of the IHB, what the heck is up with Gibson. It isn't showing any AK circuits north or east of the plant.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
I see that. I wonder if it related to the track work going on in the area.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
Is Calumet Tower no longer on ATCS?
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
The IHB view of it (their routes only) is still active (71255610180202).
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
The fact that the IHB has their own address means they are likely going to head their own way.tttodisp wrote:The IHB view of it (their routes only) is still active (71255610180202).
CSX recently moved two desks out of the combined IHB/CSX dispatch center. Then took the two remaining and made one desk to cover the Chicago area itself.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
Let's hope IHB sticks with RCL and not Dish Network. The weird thing about IHB Calumet Tower is that the CSX bits are no longer active (they used to be).
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
When did the IHB address pop up and the CSX one go away? Do you remember?
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
IHB version was added 4/2014 and CSX went away 10/2017.
Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
new signals erected at Burnham, turned aside on both NS and IHB
