This is a news story out of Michigan. After a day, the post in the GDLK will be buried in 41 pages of posts.Super Chief wrote:Already posted on GDLK OPS.

As it should be; after a day, there shouldn't be much to talk about as it concerns a derail like this. I'm all for keeping Grand Elk stuff in the Grand Elk thread.

How do you figure there'd be nothing to discuss after a day, "with a derailment like this"?MiddleMI wrote:As it should be; after a day, there shouldn't be much to talk about as it concerns a derail like this. I'm all for keeping Grand Elk stuff in the Grand Elk thread.
I don't look at the ops page as I don't want to look through endless pages of posts about the same trains passing the same mileposts every day.

Might be either string lining or make-up of the train. I've went around that curve hundreds of times during the PC-Conrail-NS days and never had any problems. Longest train I took around there was 150 empty multi-levels, 3 miles long.
