I did not see them, so not sure how many cars, but 328 did not stop in Lansing this morning.BL2-1843 wrote:If this morning's Q328 out of GRP left with 176 cars, they either sat off 45 cars in Lansing, or, left part of their train somewhere for having to much tonnage for the power.

The sun has NOT been kind to the decals used for the logos. Thankfully they discontinued the decal practice on later models including the ES44AHs which aren't fading quite so bad.GP30M4216 wrote:Q327 with CSXT 5299 and 118 at Ivanrest getting their air test. I keep thinking of the ES40DC units as “newish” power but most are 14-15 years old now. It’s interesting to see the factory paint starting to fade.

Q326 east at Glenlord Rd/Stevensville. Once again, a smallish train. CSXT 5294 plus one more unit leading.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: June, 2019
Q32906 by Howell at 10:42. CSX 3471+3146 with 150 cars. 52 stone loads on the head end. No DPU on this train as speculated. Good thing the crew got to Detroit at 06:49 yesterday to get an early start today with no 329 yesterday for lack of crew. The stone loads may have been picked up at Oak as they had to make a stop there. Q32806 went east at 05:25 with CSX 5225+4543 and 184 cars on that one with 40 stone empties on the rear. This is what happens when they don't have enough crews to run one train each way each day on the Plymouth Sub. At least these under 50 car of late Q326 trains hardly misses a day for non crew availability.

It's called Precision Railroading. Cut crews to nothing, deny all vacations, don't repair locomotives. Makes the next 1/4 look great though. So it goes.BL2-1843 wrote:Q32906 by Howell at 10:42. Re: CSX Train Location Updates: June, 2019
Per Bangor chat at 12:10pm, q326 went east with CSXT 5274 and what looks like CSXT 355. It's passing by Tlout's D80106 with coal empties. Likely power cutting off empties and pushing Q326 up Saugatuck Hill. N80005 is at New Buffalo headed to West Olive and will get a shove after q326 goes up. d70006 down at around Coloma, had CSXT 2001, 5 steel coil cars and a tank car when it went by Bangor at 10am.

At 2:22pm, Q329's rear end was crossing 28th St in Grand Rapids. Traffic was pretty tied up around Breton.
