Alright, I didn't get train 116 with EMDX (probably #1606)─but I got this train with "The Bessemer" leading!!!! OH YEAH!!!! Now, this must be train 514!!!! We didn't catch the "Light Engines" arrive in to Moterm Yard─but caught a northbound train with two "Standard" CN ES44DC engines, 117 cars! I talked to a Railfan who said this "Rerouted" train was number "326!!!!"
OK, I did not get a "Re-routed" train in Royal Oak earlier today (7-6)! It was train 371!!!!
Earlier train 371 around 1:30 p.m. below:
Yup TwisterJay29, I am glad I was in Birmingham and caught BLE 878 leading!!!! Went there to catch 116 but got this instead!!!!Robertrains wrote:TwisterJay29 wrote:NB just went thru royal oak
OK, I saw this train in Royal Oak today, 7-6!!!! It was led by a CREX ES44AC, BNSF SD75M (ex ATSF?) and a BNSF ES44AC (unsure of loco numbers)!!!!!!!! What train is this? It seems like one of those "Re-routes!!!!" WOW, finally I get a "Re-routed" train!!!! That's all I got (plus Local 513 and Amtrak® 350), but was hoping to get more "Re-routes!!!!" I am happy I got one of them at least!!!!

What appears to be 371 waited on Amtrak 353 at Ford and is now on the move northbound approaching Ferndale.

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
Even though the tunnel is not yet open, we had the first road freight in more than a week on the Mount Clemens sub at 02:35 this morning. NB at track speed through Mount Clemens with 5 units and over 100 cars (too dark to count). No idea where his final destination is, but if he was headed west, it was the longest of detours. And, he would have to have run around his train in Port Huron. Could be stashing cars in PH in anticipation of the re-opening this week ?

GECX 2043 north through Chapman on the Shoreline sub with a very long train of mixed freight. Unclear what train it is and if it is a re route

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
Is there a regular time that L521 departs Battle Creek on Sundays? And also, is there any indication that BLE 866 will be leading it?
Thanks
Thanks

Apparently there is a CN E27331 out in Ontario bound for Flat Rock with GMTX 2274 and GTW 6420 for power, per the On Sheet Southern Ontario FB group (I'm not joking, that's what I read), but it was in emergency at Peel, Ontario, as of 30 minutes ago due to one of the engines breaking down.

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
A doublestack just went SB past MP 22.5 on the Holly at 6:10 am following Amtrak down the Hill. In usual circumstances I would say it was 116 but with the Tunnel Situation, who knows what train this was? Missed the power.
Lite GT 4912 went NB past MP 22.5 at 8 am, returning from what I presume was a night on the South Holly as 513.
At 9:25 am 4912 went SB past MP 22.5 with Train 515. Quick turnaround of power.
Amtrak 353 just went SB at 9:52 am, about 20 minutes earlier than usual, with a P42 on each end. Did they change the schedules this weekend?
A SB went past MP 22.2 at 11:20 am that I missed. From the time and direction it was probably a reroute.

M355 reroute was southbound by Royal Oak at 11:50am. CN 3183 and GECX 2035.
Amtrak 353 departed from Pontiac at 9:45am - On time. Scheduled at 9:45am effective today.
The intermodal train that ran at 6:30am was the 148 reroute. CN 2246 and CN 5653.

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
SB past MP 22.5 at 2:20 pm with a CN leading a BNSF. From the consist it looked like a reroute.
Train 512 past MP 22.5 at 2:45 pm on its way back to Pontiac.
NB passing MP 22.5 at 4:22 pm with two CN's. It is Train 371's time of day to pass but this doesn't look quite like 371. Hard to say. A lot of autoracks but a lot of unusual stuff for the Holly too. Edit: It had too many truck frames at the rear to be 371 so must have been a Mount Clemens Sub reroute.
One lite locomotives went SB past MP 22.5 around 6 pm. And it went back NB around 8 pm lite. A CN GE.
Amtrak 352 had six cars and a P42 on each end, passing MP 22.5 around 8:20 pm NB.
What looked like Train 391 just went NB at 9 pm past MP 22.5 with a CN leading CREX 1020.
At 9:34 pm Train 514 is going SB (a bit late tonight) with a BLE unit leading what looked like CN 5459 and also a blue GT GP-38-2 with a very long train of containers.

What appears to be L514 is going south through Royal Oak at 2153 with a BLE painted engine leading, a CN SD40-2 and a GTW painted Geep with a very long train. You could smell the “old” as the engines went by.

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
That late 514 last night went NB past MP 22.5 on its way back to Flint around 1 am.
Another NB, probably a reroute from the mix of its freight, went past MP 22.5 at 5:30 am with two CN's as power.
Amtrak 351 had two P42's again this morning. Same with 353 that just passed. And extra coaches still.
Train 515 with 5456 went SB past MP 22.52 at 9:15 am.
