Re: CN Updates - January 2020
1:30pm - Westbound BIG TRAIN just passed the detector at 257.1 with 804 Axles!! (I can get the detector at 257.1 from my house in Linden with the good antenna).
Must be one of those almost 200 car trains with Mid train DPU's to save money. Why run 2 trains with 2 crews when you can run one BIG one?!?! Railfanning isn't as fun as it used to be. I remember all kinds of trains on the GTW back in the 90s. Ah the good old days (good old days to me). The really good old days were way before that.
I'm listening to the scanner today and catching up on some work at home.
On a side note, about 15 minutes ago, listened to the dispatcher talking to an extra what I believe was a 319 train number. Not sure what that was.

Train 501 has the NS 9273 today per the dispatcher.
Not sure where 501 is at the moment, but dispatcher "I think" said something about Mundy? Where is Mundy?
