Re: CSX Train Location Updates: April, 2020
On my bike ride around 18:30 saw a long-ish mixed freight EB on the Detroit Sub at Hines Park; missed the engines. At 19:00, what looked like WB D717 turned north into North Yard in Plymouth, with 4040 + 4041 leading. D716 was ready to go SB out of North Yard as well.

E800-08 @ 9:46:50pm Bangor's Center St crossing mp CG60.35 with BNSF engines #5925 + #6411 + 2 & 129 empty coal cars.
Couldn't read the 2 additional BNSF engine numbers.
It appears the additional BNSF engines were #5874 + #8775 that were dropped off into Grand Junction siding by Q327-08 on April 8th.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: April, 2020
As of 0733, Q327 is still working on departing Wyoming.
There is also a westbound train out around Sunfield at that time that I have not been able to identify.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: April, 2020
It appears to be Q328... maybe it's the start of their new screwy schedule. Per ATCS, they left Grand Rapids about 2am, arrived lansing at 4am, left 7am westbound, and just went by Elmdale westbound. Q32909 is west by South Lyon at this time as well.cnw8835 wrote:As of 0733, Q327 is still working on departing Wyoming.

Q32909, which should be the last 329, by Howell at 08:45. 159+3451 on the head end with 94 cars. RN told them they had a large pickup up at Lansing, but the crew told him that was cars 32809 sat off and then turned around and went back to GRP (as reported) The writing was really on the wall yesterday when 327 had a bunch of gondolas loaded with the product that has the black plastic tarps covering it. These are Detroit-Flint loads which were already in GRP, and sent back west just so they would not have to run another train into Detroit. The cars will now run via Garrett-Toledo. Another 400 miles to save a crew and a train. Whatever it takes to cut off trains faster.

09:15 - Local Y121 is switching Zeeland Lumber. Not sure if they have any other Zeeland work.
Yesterday:
Also yesterday: two tankcars were spotted at the unloading equipment at Sherwin Williams on the south side of Holland. Switches were lined late in the day for the Lumbermen's spur.
And a late report photo: Q326 heading through Zeeland on Tuesday, April 7: The consist of this train contained a very freshly painted CSX 50' waffle-side boxcar, among some sisters in need of the paint booth.
Yesterday:
They brought two new loads, but only one of the two cars already on the spur had been unloaded. Thus yesterday was the first time in a very long time that more than two centerbeams were on the Zeeland Lumber siding, as they left the two loads along with the one already there and only took one empty back.836a - by east wy y121 with 2 loads for zeeland lumber

Q510 & Q511 will now be new Chicago-Toledo trains which will get 328-329 cars in and out of Detroit. With Detroit to Cincinnati trains Q508-509 still running, 328-329 cars will run on that and interchange at Toledo.BL2-1843 wrote:Q32909, which should be the last 329, by Howell at 08:45. 159+3451 on the head end with 94 cars. Re: CSX Train Location Updates: April, 2020
To refresh the memory of those who had forgotten, or did not know, Q328 and Q329 trains to and from Detroit lasted almost two years, which replaced trains Q384 & Q385. The first Q328 ran on on May 17, 2018. When the Detroit trains started, the westbound was called Q327, but was changed to Q329 on July 1, 2018.

327 is building their train currently. YN2 AC4400 + ET44AC + SD40-3 from the looks of it. Can’t see the engine numbers.
Sounds like they have to double.
