I drove by ADM Webberville. They only had one CSX engine there so this just be the second unit of power to pull that grain Train out.Tom49801 wrote:Q326-07 @ 12:12pm reported by the DD mp CG19.1 with CSX engine #3213 leading & 101 cars & rear DPU engine CSX #949.
G764-06 @ 12:53pm eastward reported by the DD at mp CH126.3 with 6 axles. CSX engine #3325 lite. Might be the G874-06??

Thank you Lansing, do you know the mp for Webberville, it's not shown on my printout for that sub. Also, will the grain train go to Grand Rapids from there? I also made a correction to my earlier post, it's G874-06.LansingRailFan wrote:I drove by ADM Webberville. D801-07 @ 5:41pm westward CSX engines #3230 + #3200 & empty coal cars heading into Wells siding to tie down the empties there & then he'll go to Grand Junction siding to couple to a loaded coal train tied down there & take them to West Olive.
E801-06 @ 8:36:08pm Bangor mp CG60.72 with BNSF engines #6359 + #6241 & 130 empty coal cars.
D801-07 @ 9:28pm eastward mp CG51 out of Grand Junction siding with BNSF engines #8453 + #5903. This was N801-05 that tied down in Grand Junction yesterday.
E801-06 @ 9:31pm cleared the St Joseph Bridge.
D801-07 @ 9:38pm reported eastward by the DD mp CG44.2 with 272 axles & 3,601 feet long. BNSF engines #8453 + #5903 & only 65 cars. Wonder why he only has 1/2 of the 130 loaded coal cars N801-05 had tied down with?? Dispatcher confirmed this too - do they have to break apart the trains when they're tied down in Grand Junction? The crew was running short on time & if that's the case, maybe there wasn't enough time to put both halves of the loaded coal cars back together?

@Tom my suspicion is that they didn’t have helpers, and thus just took half of the N800 train up the hill, and might double back for the rear if they have time for it.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: June, 2020.
Hi ya Saturnalia, D801-07 had the 2 usual CSX engines #3230 + #3200 when they had traveled westward from Holland with the empty coal train & had heard on the scanner they were to tie down the empties in Wells & then go from there to Grand Junction to couple to the loaded coal train that was tied down there yesterday. Very confusing how it all turned out as it was D801-07 going back eastward with 1/2 a coal train. Also yesterday, E800-04 had traveled with only 115 empty coal cars, yet, all of the loaded coal trains had the usual 130 cars, though there was one loaded coal having 129 cars but that's been seen before (128 to 132 cars have been seen in the past). Strange doings this week for the coal trains. Also, do you know if the loaded coal cars are shifted thru the coal dumper with the BNSF power that had brought them to the power plant, or, does the power plant have its own engines dedicated to doing that work?Saturnalia wrote:@Tom my suspicion is that they didn’t have helpers, and thus just took half of the N800 train up the hill, and might double back for the rear if they have time for it.

Additions or subtractions to 130 cars is due to bad order setouts - less if a car gets kicked out, more if a repaired car finds its way into another train. Sometimes separated cars will come via the loose carload route as well via Q326.
JH Campbell has their own power for intra-plant movements. The BNSF power is cut off and moved over to the yard office when not in use, typically.
