'been kinda quiet around here this summer, so here's a picture of the newly-released Rapido Trains USRA boxcar.
The detailing is exceptional- it even has the correct Carmer coupler lift levers. My only comment would be that the red strikes me as a bit bright. A little bit of weathering will correct that, though.
The PM sold off a lot of these cars before WW2, retired another bunch, converted a number to double-door cars, and the C&O had a number in company service into the 1970s. They weren't very common in revenue service after the war, though.
