By Howell at 11:28 with 161 cars. Crew talking to MofW at Fowlerville and identified themselves as D70522, after I thought they finally advanced the train by one day. At 09:58 yesterday, Can't Be Shook said this train was called at 1am but still not out yet and evidently took another 20 hours to get out. First 75 cars looked as if they are Ann Pere cars which is just what Lansing needs as they cant get cars in and out of Ann Pere as is.
Regarding my 7:54pm post yesterday on the woe's of D708, on what they may do after setting off 69 cars in the Brighton pass that belongs to GLC, the answer was "none of the above" as they went back to Lansing power light, and then died at Williamston due to two vehicles being on the tracks and one in the ditch near Dobie Road. This in turns means the 82 cars GLC sat off on Tuesday still still sits in the Howell siding, the 25 cars GLC sat off after are still in the transfer, and the now 20 cars left in the Ogihara run around all still just sits there while the 69 cars for GLC sits in Brighton unable to get to Ann Pere. GLC crews needs to qualify on CSX between Brighton and Trowbridge because quite frequently of late is where GLC cars are parked because CSX cant get them in and out of Ann Pere. And today is just another day on the farm with D705 bearing down on Lansing about the time D708 gets called.

Q326-23 @4:01pm advised by Dispatch he has a new crew for them on the phone & asked where they are to meet Q326. Will get re-crewed in Holland "the road by the Airport here in Holland". (Looked at Google street view & wondering if the re-crew is to be at E. 64th Street?).

Q327-23 is currently at Hilltop Rd, just clearing St. Joseph Bridge with 182 cars. CSXT 4016 leading and CSXT 523.
With the rain, it is surprising that they didn't stall on the hill with the wet rails.

At this time, there are still loaded coal cars parked out on the main between the WAS & EAS Wells siding & Amtrak will loop around them by going into the siding at mp CG43.3 D801-22 earlier today had taken half of those coal cars to West Olive.

701a - clear east wy and wy
704a - clear east and west legs and holland

per scanner - it sounds like both 371 and 327 had to use the siding at wells,
both went main to siding ee and siding to main at we - iirc the speed thru
the siding is restricted to 10 mph within the siding.

Bummed that they didn’t work Waverly this morning. Really wanted to get a couple more fall color shots of 327.
On a side note, 327 went into the siding at Wells and is now back on the main. Not sure what the reason was for that. I went by Wells a little while ago and there was no other train there.

Amtrak P371 had to diverge thru Wells also. Yesterday, D801-22 was moving N800-22 out of Grand Junction siding without pusher engines & cut the train in half in order to make it over Saugatuck Hill. He ended up stalling out anyways & Q327 had to cut away from his train to use his engines to help out the stalled D801. The remaining half of the loaded coal cars ended up being left on the main betwen the Absolute signals at Wells.
D802-23 @ 08:42am moving towards Lamar mp CG3.5 with BNSF engines #8564 + #5761 + CSX engine #817 & will be headed west to Wells mp CG41.4 to pick up the remaining loaded coal cars that are sitting on the main that D801-22 had left there yesterday. He will then return to Holland to pick up 3 more loaded coal cars & it sounded like he may also be getting the new Consumers Energy slug set that was seen on yesterday's Q326.
