As a heads up to those east of me. D706 went thru Fowlerville at 19:35 with CSX 3211 on the lead and 122 cars per the axel count. Still has to run slow thru the pass at Howell around the cars parked on the main for the last 24 hours, so you all have time to get to the tracks at Brighton and South Lyon. D708 waited in the pass at Fowlerville for 35 minutes for D706. D708 will be picking the 55 cars left left in the Trowbridge siding yesterday which will give them 76 cars back into Lansing.

Thanks for the heads up, made it with a few minutes to spare, will update when it's thru.

Update - D706 thru Brighton at 20:35

Also I wanted to ask, over summer I'd be in Howell till nearly 4am regularly. I'd sometimes see two locomotives pull cars west off the Howell main (as opposed to the siding) at that time. Anyone know what operation that could've been? Or could it have been a D708? Thanks!

If already lined out of siding at the west end (SLOW CLEAR), would get a MEDIUM-APPROACH SLOW into the siding (R/Y/G). At least that's how it worked when I was dispatching!
From what I've observed, that is correct other than the Medium Approach Slow, it seems like they just get an Approach aspect (Y/R/R)

Overnight, a G71302 crew arrived at Webberville shortly after midnight to put the 87 car grain train together. Departed east with it at 02:30, crept by the house at 03:10 preparing to run thru the siding around the GLC cars still parked on the main for the last two days. Cleared Ann Pere diamond at 03:30 and blasted thru Brighton at track speed by 03:45, just in case you heard it amessmann. CSX 268+529 on the head end. The blocked main was the topic of conversation at Webberville this morning. Meanwhile, GLC Z62404 arrived at Ann Pere at 05:08, tied on to the cars on the main and took them south, not replacing anymore there. Unusual move but at least the main line is clear.

Not sure I quite understood your question, amessmann, on the middle of the night moves you saw in Howell this summer.

Hello BL2-1843, which siding did they have to go thru to run around the GLC cars that were parked out on the main? Is that siding too short to park their cars inside & that's the reason why the keep the cars out on the main? Thank you :)

That would be the Howell siding. The siding and the main between the signals hold the same amount of cars. CSX and GLC dropping cars on the main is just a convenience.

E800-03 @ 1:24pm westward reported from mp CG40.0 with BNSF engines #9256 + #8445(?). Did he also have the CSX pushers, Tiout?
I had heard them call their cab driver to meet them at Grand Junction & then called her back saying to meet them at Wells because our train is there (??). N801-02 had tied sown inside Wells siding on Dec 2nd.
