Saw D706-30 was set for 1am this morning but I haven't found them logged in the scanner archives up to this point in time, 1:28pm, (I had checked twice to be sure). At 2pm I am now hearing D706 with CSX engine #3211 working inside Grand Rapids. Guess the 1am set time posting was a typo & was meant to read as 1pm set for today.

Sounds like D706 will be able to depart once Y106 gets in, which should be soon. Eyes on Y106 westward by Eastern and Hall about 14:00.

Also I think I heard just a couple minutes ago the defect detector at CG19.1 for something eastbound, D702?

The V71321 grain empty that went west by Howell one week ago today, with two of the the newest CSX rebuilt GE units on it, that was thought to be heard returning east on a grain load through Brighton last Saturday, is now known as V71328 and just finished spotting the train at Webberville prior to noon TODAY. Evidently there was a problem, perhaps a derailment inside the plant last week because the head 28 cars and two units had been camped out in the Fowlerville siding since who knows when. Crew arrived in Fowlerville 06:15 this morning, ran around its train, went west to Williamston and ran around it again and back to Webberville where it finally got spotted.
Meanwhile, D708 who has worked but one time in the last eight days (last Thursday) is still nowhere near Howell yet. The 76 cars sat off by GLC in the Howell pass three days ago is still there. Currently, there is a Sperry Rail truck working its way west and was by Howell at 13:55.

BL2 Says: Power tied down at the plant with the rest of the grain train of seven days ago. Perhaps after the first of the year it will make its way east again.

D706-30 @ 5:54pm eastward reported by the DD mp CH104.3 with 444 axles. CSXT engine #3211 & 108 cars & rear CSXT engine #738. Length was between 6,500 & 6,600 feet, D702 had stepped on the last 2 digits. Amtrak P370-30 @ 9:13pm eastward reported by the DD mp CG91.9 with 16 axles & 306 feet long. IDTX engine #4614 & 3 cars.
