Nice work as usual
I was hoping you'd know what year the C30-7's, B30-7 and B30-7AB's were acquired.

Updated with the correct years. The B units were purchased in 2000. The 3 C30-7s and the B30-7 were bought in 2001.

Re: Central Michigan Railway History & Roster
Another couple corrections. 4502 ran for a few years as a CMGN unit as well before the 8903 blew its prime mover, the 4502 "donated its PM to the 8903 since it was already painted.
The 8903 is in mexico, not the 8905 which was scrapped sadly (i have one of its numberboards next to me)
The 4065 went to Mexico as well with the others. If you'd like them, I have pictures from Mexico of all 3 units with cabs, and the 8903 in service as well.

if you'd like to add it, the 9209 and 9210 both went to Continentel (sp) Grain and barge. One is at Naples Illinois, and the other is at another location in Illinois. both still in CMGN paint which CGB adopted for a few other highhood geeps.

Sure about that? The most recent photo I’ve found of either one is from 2008. I had assumed both have since been scrapped.

Re: Central Michigan Railway History & Roster
I can confirm that 9210 is still working for CGBX in its CMGN colors in Mt. Vernon, IN. It may have been renumbered 602 but I cannot confirm that.
Re: Central Michigan Railway History & Roster
yep. as of last year both are still active in 2 different locations. may have been renumbered. its been a while since i've talked to the friend i made at CGB
Re: Central Michigan Railway History & Roster
Plausible theory that it was renumbered to 602.AlcoLoco251 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 11:14 pmI can confirm that 9210 is still working for CGBX in its CMGN colors in Mt. Vernon, IN. It may have been renumbered 602 but I cannot confirm that.
However, I wonder if 602 is former MRIX 602/PCCX 602/SLSF 630?
You can see the yellow (and red from its 2012 paint job) bleeding through in this 2020 photo.
MRIX 602 was assigned to New Page Paper in Wickliffe, KY in 2012. However, that plant closed in 2015. I wonder if CGBX purchased it at around that time?
I wonder if #9210 is in Naples still?

Thank you for the updates.
This paint scheme looks like Tyco painted it

Haha it does! This model immediately came to mind .
Re: Central Michigan Railway History & Roster
Contiential grain and barge adopted the CM "skunk" paint from the 9209 and 9210 and painted several locomotives into that paint scheme. I always had thought the Highhoods looked great in it, and apparently they agreed.
