GLC taking 13 cars north from Owosso to Oakley to add it to the 87-car corn tren already there. They will be filled immediately and according to poster will depart early this afternoon.

GLC is taking the 100 car corn train from Oakley to Durand and yarding it. The crew then heads back north to Owosso, grabs the OSTN and heads south.
Corn train is heading south to Mobile, AL via CN!

Doesn't seem like a lot of grain is interchanged from GLC/HESR to CN. Could there be a change in traffic patterns?

This is a special export corn load from the Oakley elevator to Mobile.AARR wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 2:59 pmDoesn't seem like a lot of grain is interchanged from GLC/HESR to CN. Cars came up via AA/GLC so this is totally an interesting run. 87 cars came up via AA/GLC (not sure if NS or CSX origin) and then 13 additional came up this week from somewhere.

And AARR you are correct. This is the first unit train being handed off in Durand to CN since CN/HESR lost the coal loads to Essexville.

Hi-Rail was spotted in TC earlier this afternoon, anticipating a run late this evening. I'm on standby for when it gets close to town.
Consistently confused

There are two loaded gons pushed to the "GLC pickup" area (I just made "GLC pickup" up, but Beacon pushes cars ready to be taken away past the scales which most always means "come get 'em, boys!".KingsleyRailFan wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 3:46 pmHi-Rail was spotted in TC earlier this afternoon, anticipating a run late this evening.
