W082-14 Loaded ballast train crawling westbound through South Lyon.
I was told they'd be dropping ballast through CH 41 then running around in Brighton to head back to Plymouth.
WAS EE Brighton was showing an approach aspect as of half an hour ago or so.
At MP CH 39.1, still crawling west. Dropping ballast here!

CSX 3040 + 5303 + 64
Green Oak DD says 358 axles 4533 feet

Radio traffic was rough in my mobile, but there was crew chatter about running around in Brighton, and some sort of crew pickup near Rickett Rd.

Q326-16 has work for Waverly.

Ballast train just picked up their crew at Rickett Rd. in Brighton and is headed west to run around. Slow going at 10mph for their roll by inspection. 19:52.

Stopped on the main at Brighton, beginning to pull the power to the WE. 20:00

20:35 headed back west to hook up the EOT, and back to the EE at 20:42. I should mention power is 3040, 5303, and 64.

Glad you got the ballast train. Too bad Micah was on his train vacay. There will be more as they will be dumping ballast from Plymouth to Elmdale on the Plymouth sub this summer.

Looks like there is a potential eastbound for the CSX approaching Porter on the Chicago Line as well

Thank you, Alex. That may be Q326, we had a loaded coal train earlier.
