Thanks Jon, I will take anything you say over what I think I may see, like only a few days when I thought I saw 6243 in the night and you corrected it to 6244. This is why I am glad in my elder years with my failing eyesight, CP trains no longer go by here. Between mostly being dirty and faded, the reflectorized numbers peel and chip so bad, they are hard enough to read in the daytime, let alone at 02:25 in the morning.
Despite standing trackside on the corner under the street light, I actually read it as 9502, but quickly checking my records to find 9502 had been rebuilt and re-numbered and finding 9592 was still out there, I changed it to that. With you saying it was 8502, there was no doubt in my mind that is what it was because even the 8500 series numbers are now chipped badly. Thanks again. !!!!
