Getting reports that Amtrak #354 hit a pedestrian or trespasser in Wayne at 0030 this morning. Just west of Merriman. Train delayed for hours.

Amtrak recently issued a service notice advising that account of track work east of Battle Creek some minor schedule adjustments are taking place. Where is the M/W actually taking place? BTW trains 352/353 return Nov 1.

355 came to a stop north of Moterm. Reversed back up the hill to MAL. Will get switched over to track 2 and head back south.

Something happened to tonight's 364 in Three Oaks. 354 has been holding at New Buffalo behind them. 364 will be at least four hours late, and 354 will be at least two hours late. 355 is approaching the area and I presume will take a hit too.

350 had an old GE Genesis locomotive on the rear of the train today and it was pointing north. The GE locomotive just drifted light SB past MP 22.5 in reverse at 3:30 pm. Maybe wying it at Milw Jct instead of Pontiac for the return this afternoon as the power on 355? What doest thou say Buster Manning, as I think you were the engineer?

indeed I was the throttle jockey on that back-up move.....used the engine to grab the work train that was parked in the siding in Chelsea and drag it the the south pass at Wayne---after dealing with lots of air issues. Today, we grabbed the B/O'ed engines, went east to wye the consist at Bay City Jct./Scotten, then headed west....finally arrived into BTL for a crew change at 0045....loooooong day running at a greatly reduced speed

Amtrak 355 tonight had IDTX 4603 and five cars, departed Dearborn station on a clear signal at MORT, track 1 at 6:40pm.
MDOT had previously announced that the additional Michigan Line round trip 352/353 is supposed to begin again tomorrow, bringing the Wolverine up to full departure capacity.
