Illinois Central Deathstar duo leading CN E251
Video will be up soon. However here’s some photos of an Illinois Central duo leading CN E251 by Pontiac. I think this maybe one of my favorite catches of 2022 so far! I shot these photos on my friends Canon M50.

But you didn't get anything of them working in the yard or out by Scott Lake Road yet..

Is this the pair that's been parked in Flat Rock for ages? I don't remember the numbers.

The ones pictured are not, 1021 and 1026 came down on A450 yesterday while the two others in Flat Rock (which I don’t remember the numbers either) actually work L572 daily, which is the CN/NS interchange between CN’s Flat Rock Yard and NS’ Oakwood Yard.

That's what I thought. I was going to ask what the heck they were doing all the way out in Pontiac.David Collins wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 5:01 pmThe ones pictured are not, 1021 and 1026 came down on A450 yesterday while the two others in Flat Rock (which I don’t remember the numbers either) actually work L572 daily, which is the CN/NS interchange between CN’s Flat Rock Yard and NS’ Oakwood Yard.
For the record, I'm not sure they've been used for the Dearborn local a whole lot lately. They've been parked as a pair on the north side of the FR yard and don't look like they've moved much in several months.

251 had to wait for 514 before getting the signal at West Pontiac to double their train. They then proceeded toward Durand and Battle Creek around 5pm. 514 waited for a few minutes at MAL Junction for a late Amtrak 350.
