Re: CN Train Location Updates - June 2022
Train 116 just passed MP 22.5 SB on the Holly with an 8800 (or was it an 8900?) and an NS unit, stacks on the headend and racks on the rear. Going very slowly for some reason.

Re: CN Train Location Updates - June 2022
SB 514/508 past MP 22.5 on the Holly at 5 pm. All stacks today so let's call it a 514.
Looks like the power just went NB light from this train at 7 pm so I guess no 507 tonight out of Lang. Or was this another intermodal like Moterm used to get once a week, like the one from on from Prince Rupert?

This was L514. SB it was IC 2707/CN 5704 so NB was the reverse.Manistique wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 5:04 pmSB 514/508 past MP 22.5 on the Holly at 5 pm. All stacks today so let's call it a 514.

On weekends it’s a turn job so just L514 like good old times.
M-F the SB is L508 with L507 being the NB.
Earlier in the day, there was a Q116 with CN/NS for power.

Re: CN Train Location Updates - June 2022
OK, this is happening again! A BCOL "Dead Cowl" is on a train south to Flat Rock! Looks like it is on a train that will go to UP in Illinois! Someone mentioned on Facebook®! It will head west tomorrow! Man, I won't be able to catch it! Does anyone know where on UP these all are going? How long will they be stored before "Scrapping" takes place? Now I am planning a trip to Illinois/Iowa for early July! I'd like to know where I should be able to capture "Dead Cowls!!!!" Are some at Homewood?Manistique wrote: ↑Mon Jun 20, 2022 11:32 amSB rolling through Bloomfield Hills now at 11:30 am with two CN, BCR 4612 (cowl still in red and white) and NS 7648. Robert, the older GE engines are being scrapped at Chicago Heights Processing in Illinois. The scrapyard is serviced from the UP line.OK, this is happening again!
