Re: CN Updates: November 2022
I heard, did not see, a short train go SB past MP 22.5 on the Holly around 1 pm. Sounded like 5450's horn so I presume it was a Saturday 515 or 513 local. No 251 yet. Other than Amtrak trains, this has been it on the South Holly today.

Re: CN Updates: November 2022
With that strong Southeasterly wind blowing right now I can hear a train working its way up the Hill. The thumping of at least one GE in the train. There, now I hear the horn for Opdyke. Here Comes the TRAINNNN. And now Train 251 is rolling by my house on the Holly, working hard, louder than the wind as the locomotives pass. Dragging what must be a long train against gravity, again. Time 3 pm exactly.

Northbound 251 by me in Linden at 4:12pm with 116 cars.
Train has several empty centerbeams on the head end, a few other cars mixed in, but mostly autoracks.
He should be getting close to Durand as I type this.

There was an early morning X491 out of FR. Went thru Okemos at 08:05. A ton of the 4-bay plastics hoppers that had been stored on some various sidings/yards from Flat Rock and South. NCLX reporting marks.Manistique wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 3:00 pmWith that strong Southeasterly wind blowing right now I can hear a train working its way up the Hill. Update: All ten CN "Dead" locomotives have now been combined and are at the east end of the CSX Walbridge, OH Walbridge Yard!!!! The arrival tracks (per Facebook® Gavin McLennan)! Now, no one knows when they will depart! Hopefully not today as I can make it tomorrow (11-6)! We shall see what happens!!!!Robertrains wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 6:31 pmOK, all the "Retired" engines are in Ohio! The first batch (CN 2454/BCOL 4612/IC 2460/CN 2156/CN 2177) are already at CSX in Walbridge! The others actually went on train 383 early this morning (11-3)! There was a CN "Cowl," number 2415 not 2145! These engines are CN 2415, CN 2194, CN 2143, CN 2145, and CN 2155!!!!

X992 ran out of Flat Rock this evening with GTW 4903. Pulled the stored well cars in Flat Rock and shoved them into the spur to Fermi. Must need the space in Flat Rock.

Re: CN Updates: November 2022
CSX Train 568 has just departed Walbridge Yard on train (per Facebook® Gavin McLennan)! Man, I will go to Ohio in a few hours (with fellow 'Railfan' Rick McConber), but don't know if we can catch this! The train will drop the "Dead" units in Willard to connect to another train before going to LTEX! He doesn't want to go that far though!!!!Robertrains wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 8:16 pmUpdate: All ten CN "Dead" locomotives have now been combined and are at the east end of the CSX Walbridge, OH Walbridge Yard!!!!
