C800-12 @ 03:14 eastward Bangor’s W. Monroe St crossing mp CG60.72 cam with BNSF engine #8597 & 129 loaded coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #8587. He had added CSX engines #3462 + #811 behind his leader at Grand Jct mp CG54 & had continued on to the power plant in West Olive, Mi.

How is the Hamilton NW transfer taking place these days? Are Hamilton bound cars just left on the main south of 196? How are the outbound cars from Hamilton handed back off to CSX Y121?

The Hamilton Northwestern has trackage rights into Waverley yard.

Y121-13 eastbound is on the M.J. lead Zeeland Michigan @ 09:10 to drop off 1 loaded center beam flat car and pick up 2 empty center beam flat cars from Zeeland lumber.

CSX engine #2785 + 1 center beam flat car + 3 box cars + OLS caboose.

Yes the Hamilton Northwestern interchanges with the CSX at Waverley yard in Holland Michigan or at least did at one time. You’re thinking of Y121 probably because a while back Y121 made a couple of transfer runs between Waverly yard and Wyoming yard. Most times L301 drops off and picks up cars at Waverley yard for and from the Hamilton Northwestern.

He is headed west to Hartford mp CG68.7 & Sawyer mp CG105.2 & then return eastward & go into Holland mp CG25.3 He was advised M326-13 is at Michigan City mp CG126.1 at this time & will be meeting him somewhere.

As far as I know they still go into Waverly yard maybe my cyber bully SD80MAC could clarify.

Note: The last time I checked the Hamilton Northwestern seem pretty dormant.(12/31/2022) Snow piles were across the tracks at all the grade crossings and the rails were very rusty and there were no cars in Hamilton Michigan at the Endeavor plant which is the first time I have ever seen that.
