A tie replacement gang is setting ties on one of the leads near Judd Street. Z151 coming down the west side, 3389, 2040, 3406. Z439 getting their train together to head back to Elk with the Geep 35s. L301 near Lamar with CSXT 355. Y197 also near Lamar, CSXT 6538. L303 headlight on, CSXT 357 and a gevo . Over and out!

L303-10 @ 12:54 Grand Rapids, Mi job briefing with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #357 + #3076 & ?? cars. He’s ready to depart & has work for Lansing. Loud static noise had wiped out the majority of his briefing.

Early this morning around 1am, I was on Chicago drive and an eastbound had a green through both ends of Hudsonville. Anyone know who it was?

It was the signal for a very late running Amtrak P370-09 that was reported at 01:04am eastward by the Defect Detector at mp CG19.1 in Zeeland, Mi.

Regarding the FRA defect on the power for L304 & L305 and the trailing unit is a trailing unit "only" while no one has specifically reported this, at least east of Lansing, when L305 goes east, 2428 & 4055 are running short nose to short nose with each other. Regardless of where they turn back to Lansing, crew has to swap the power around so on it's westward trip, 2428 & 4055 are back to back with each other again. 2428 always leads. Ist was like this on both Monday and Tuesday and probably will be again today as well.

13:41 - L305-10 east approaching Okemos with 2428 leading and 4055 behind it, nose to nose! DD at 79.9 reports 148 axles working out to 34 cars. Interesting that they swap them, explains why they stopped in Brighton so long yesterday. I actually came out early to see if the crew would be controlling from the second locomotive, is that even allowed anymore? Thanks all for the info.

17:43 - L302 west through WE Brighton. They had been stopped on the main, but I did not hear a meet.

L302-10 was stopped at Brighton waiting for L305 to get his engines back together at Howell "back to back". 302 following 305 back to Lansing. 303 in the siding at Fowlerville for both. Power on L302-10 with it's 66 car train was 3416 + 5214.
