This was a very late A491. They did not have work for Flint or BC today - straight to Kirk.bluewonderrails wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 6:30 pmPossible M301 clear mp225 at 18:30. CN duo #3098 + #3957(ex CREX)

Re: CN Train Location Updates - August 2023
This is train 394! Very sad for more "Cowls" etc. to head for "Scrap!!!!" How many more can there be? WOW!!!! Word is (Bill Grooms Facebook®) the train has a "Hot wheel!!!!" That's why it is delayed and sitting! Well this train would have passed through MI in the dark tonight! Yet with the hot wheel, this will delay the train! Maybe 394 will be in the Port Huron area tomorrow morning! My friend Roger (with loaned 35mm Canon® S.L.R.) might be able to catch this for me!!!! Next week I will be in PH (August 28/29), but there probably won't be any more "Dead Cowls" etc. to catch! However, in September (with friends Roger and wife Sandy) we'll venture to Welland, ON to find these! Still very sad to witness!!!! MuskegonRailfanning wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 9:38 pmM394(?) Re: CN Train Location Updates - August 2023
MuskegonRailfanning, it was not reported what kind of "Hot Wheel!" But, the crew "Expired" and it is unknown if they got the wheel fixed or the new crew arrived! Does anyone here know? Well, if 394 moves today, hopefully it comes to Port Huron area in daylight! Poor "Dead Cowls" and other variants!!!! There should be some "Railfans" out and reporting this morning! We knew these sad days would come someday! I just wish these were preserved! MAN!!!!MuskegonRailfanning wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 11:10 pmWhat kind of hotwheel? I am aware of those two C40-8s! Now, if just some museums would get CN/BCOL "Cowls!!!!" I know funding and other factors play into preservation! OK, where is train 394 from last night? I (or Roger photographing for me) don't want to miss this train!!!! Could it have gone early in the morning with no "Railfan" witnesses? MAN!!!! The consist is as MuskegonRailfanning mentioned: "CN #3046 + #3265 - to be scrapped engines —> CN #2168 + #2139 + BCOL #4601 + CN #2034 + #2009 + #2132 + BCOL #4618"LansingRailFan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 7:26 amThe guy that owns the new Rock Island bought two of the -8 standard cabs.Robertrains wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 5:23 amMuskegonRailfanning, it was not reported what kind of "Hot Wheel!"
