5479 is the trailing engine on this latest G077. Does anyone know their symbol prior to Plymouth?
I would assume either G790 or G824 or any empty grain train from the southern states. This empty grain went pass Princeton Cam yesterday at 00:47am hours with CSX #5265 leading.
For the Princeton Cam, I’ve been noticing it’s mostly G790s. For Deshler Cam, it’s G824s. For Fosteria Cam, it’s G126
Again, wrong here too. Gotta stop slanging them assumptions around bro.

I saw a train going through Jenison Michigan westbound @ approximately 11:15 with 2 engines and at least 25 cars. I thought I was looking at L301-28. What train did I see?
12:30 - MOW heard telling the RN they were approaching Brighton and wanted to make it as far west as their time allowed.

Work gang started at Benton Harbor and Livingston, both the siding and main. Last week they moved down to NB and started working towards Michigan City and Porter. Michigan City siding was also in the scope. They should be completing the project in the next few days. The W train is just positioning the train for when they finish to load up for their next assignment.

I don’t know how they came up with “28 loads + 1 empty.” The work equipment flats had no equipment on them, so the track machinery must be at Sawyer or New Buffalo.
The train had a bunch of tie gons, which could have been loaded or empty, and a handful of boxcars, presumably for tools and supplies.
14:21 - L305-28 calling clear for WE Brighton.
14:27 - calling clear for CH 43, headed east and not running around here. 15:57 - L305 west thru EE Brighton with 17 cars behind 8315 and 8054.

Did they swap power with L301?
No, that was a typo on my part, I had used my prepared train sheet for posting trains & was editing a L301 entry for W034 & had forgotten to edit the engine numbers. W034 had grabbed the coal train "CSX pusher engines" #7381 + #858 that were tied down Grand Jct siding for their work & will be returning them to Grand Jct on their return trip eastward.
W034-28 @ 16:14 eastward reported by the DD mp CG91.9 St Joseph, Mi with 12 axles. CSX engines #858 + #7381 lite power. He’ll take Grand Jct siding mp CG55.6 & tie down.

L302 has 25 to drop in Lansing, unknown on pickups.
