I think it was mentioned in the Train Location threads. The 2 engines & a couple of cars derailed Fri morning. Everything got retailed Monday morning. I believe some track repair was needed, that was supposed to finish today, but I haven't heard whether that's complete.

no news about the derailment north of CP Cedar??.......looked like the two red and white engines dropped off the rail late last week... still had the 6-axle sitting there just north of the E. South St. crossing
Picked a flange just north of diamond. Had nine cars, all empties for CSX. Corman got em upright Monday midday and mow fixed track on Tuesday.

Just north of the shop building in Mason. They left the power on the northbound train when they got back from Jackson.

HVRM announced this morning that they have secured enough funds to purchase the CHS power car, but it has to leave the property by September yet.

This means that the entire CHS dinner train is now officially sold.

ZFS has officially purchased the idled ethanol plant in Riga, located on the Adrian & Blissfield line. Hopefully we’ll be seeing an increase in traffic down here soon.

Truckloads of new ties being unloaded in Adrian and being placed along the tracks between the engine house and the old roundhouse. Each stack is ten across by four tall so I'd estimate around 2,000 ties are there currently.

The transload across the street was also running today loading a big rig with some dusty material (anybody know what?) out of old KCS and N de M cars.

Tie unloading was still ongoing when I was back in Adrian last week. They've continued to line the ROW with these tie stacks and were more than half way to the Gulf Street crossing.

I stopped by Tecumseh over the weekend and saw the former CHS GE in action. Now adorned with SMRS logos, she looks a little worse for wear but was running throughout the afternoon.

I saw two covered hoppers at the transload building on Saturday.

She was given a power wash before the new SMRS logos were applied, which is why the appearance is the way it is. I’m not sure if there’s any plan to repaint her any time soon, there’s a few more pretty big projects on deck before the end of the year so any further work beyond basic maintenance will probably have to wait. There was some electrical work done to get her fully operational before the events this weekend, some mice had made a sizable nest in one of the traction motors so the whole system was given a once over.
