An NS stone train just went by the Elkhart VR cam at 9:58 am heading towards Kalamazoo to deliver a load of stones to the Aggregate Resources rail yard just beyond the Grand Elk rail yard in Kalamazoo. The train was led by NS 1176 and NS 4209 with around 80 cars.

If you’re around the Wabash line, this train is gonna draw A LOT of people out today and imo a must see. The amount of unrebuilt KCS SD70MAC’s is in the single digits and they almost never lead nowadays.

Figured I should post this, but for those that are out for the CP MoW train that was posted about earlier and are in Allen Park/Melvindale, watch your backs. A Melvindale police officer was shot and killed this morning and the suspect is still on the run. Several railfans around Allen Park that I know were approached by police either thinking they were suspicious or just letting them know of the situation. Stay safe out there.

Ballast train should be around Adrian as of 3:05pm.
