Trains in Cadillac as of 8/25: 393 and 396, 395 and 399. Looks like there will be 2 crews this week.

TSB had two crews and three engines assigned to Cadillac prior to being acquired in 2006. One crew with two engines handled Yuma to Clare daily. The other crew / engine handled everything Cadillac and north. However, there were busy customers in Yuma (sand) Traverse City (bottled juice, scrap metal and lumber) and Elmira (cement) that required multiple, sometimes daily, switches per week.

TSBY resurged business in Traverse City in the late 1990's up until their sale in 2006. Under the new owner, GLC, business took a sharp downturn (they economy went into a recession around 2008) and rail business never really picked up again in Traverse City afterwards. I am not saying it was GLC's fault, I don't know any details to say one way or the other. GLC has built up traffic in McBain and Kalkaska but Traverse City just can't seem to get any traction.

382/386/385 out of shops and SB at 19:55 to pick up the loaded soybean train that CN dropped off the other morning.
at 20:18-27, 382/386/385 are NB thru San yard with the loaded soybean train for ZFS.

Update: 396 and 393 left Kingsley at 19:51. One empty from Amerhart headed back South.
